Disappointments

No one likes disappointments and I surely don't. I am looking at some great things at my fingertips and I can't touch them. It's quite frustrating! I'm am so excited sitting on the edge of my seat saying "Why! Why!"

Hopefully I'll be able to grab at that piece of paradise soon. I am really hoping that I will. Disappointments can also be a blessing and toay may not be my day but I know my hour will come.

I'd like to encourage everyone to enjoy life to fullest and have a Great Easter.

POEM: Bounce Back Mother Earth

Our beloved Mother Earth,
she is crying out
and for what it's worth
we should know what her pain is about

She is tired of our folly
and all the pollution we give her
she is no longer jolly
as the garbage stifles her laughter

We know we are making her too hot
with all that we have going on
she just wants us to stop
so she can be like when she was born

She's tired of our pillaging, overfishing and burning
as we rape the renewable resources
her anger is like an engine churning
and this brings us hard weather forces

Each man that stands on earth today
needs to do his part
because we can't keep treating Mother Earth this way
and today is when it needs to start

We have to see ways to reuse and recycle
and reduce the waste we make
it's the only way to ensure the water cycle
and help Mother Earth to remain awake

So do what you can today
to keep your environment in tact
if everyone helps in every little way
then Mother Earth can safely bounce back!

Chilling with the Kids

It's nice to chill at home with the kids. We did some baking yesterday, some gardening today. It will be errands tomorrow. Of course we'll play games, do work and watch TV too. It's nice to take a break from work even when the break is with the children. They can be demanding and sometimes don't listen, but they do make you laugh.

I love it when they occupy themselves and let me write in peace. I guess that's why I am so good at multitasking - I cook, write and still be a momma at the same time. There're nothing special about me doing that because most mothers do the same thing!

Enjoy your day today!

POEM: My Changes

I miss my youth
the glory days
when I thought I was a champion
and that nothing could stop me
I had vigor
I had charm
I had smart speech
and I was hardly alarmed
I had head to toe style
I was flawless
but with all of that
I was missing one time
I was missing God in my life
I was living in strife
fighting hardship
but when I got closer to Jesus
I saw that outward appearance
was only superficial
just a surface treatment
God is the one
who is in control
so now I am better
and I am living wiser
in balance
and no longer in transit
Thank God
for his mercies!

Get Up and Do Something for Yourself - Online or Otherwise

The internet offers a great opportunity for research, games and to make money legally. I'm not talking about pyramid schemes but decent opportunities. Even if it's updating a website, blogging or other writing, there are viable ways to earn a little income on the web.

I don't want to ever get rich but to be comfortable and enjoy the simple things of life. I have been to Guyana, Jamaica, St. Martin and New York because of various opportunities that I have been able to get.

I encourage everyone to seek opportunites not only online but in whatever ways they can. Look for legitimate competitions, scholarships or training opportunities to see where life can take you. Don't ever sit back and wait for anyone to ever give you anything - you have to get up, take helm and do for your self.

Businesses Must Have Good Customer Service

Customer service is a problem in both the public and private sector. I have always made an outcry about this and I think that time is coming again. People expect a certain level of respect and service when they enter into an establishment.

However, as I start to look at things a little deeper, I realize that it goes further than just customer service. The problem partially is the processes and the rules that people have to work by. Some of the rules are redundant, outdated or just plain out don't make sense. In other cases, the employees are frustrated by the poor systems and take it out on the customers.

We have to seriously start looking at the way we do things and making the processes work efficiently. Customers don't care why things don't work - they care about getting their business taken care of. Until businesses understand this, they won't move forward. Competition is tight and being sentimental has gone out of style.

It's time to wake because customers have a choice today. There are hardly any monopolies left.

POEM: Yes it is me

Yes it is me
I'm not tall like a tree
or busy like a bee
but I am someone
that you can see
so why ignore
me?
am I not smart like a pin
or smooth like
baby's skin
yes i am
and I don't spread spam
but I consider
myself a champion
a top notch
soldier
who claims
the arms of my savior
yes it is me
short
little
small
but I won't tell
it all
just know that I am here
and not
going
anywhere
