I Am A Virgo
I am a Virgo
I dance like Michael
Groove like Beyonce
Act like Taraji
Rhyme like Ludacris
Sink the ball like Ibaka

I am a Virgo
Sometimes I don't let go
I know that the mission is to grow
I cherish the people I know
I speak with utmost flow
Virgo massive is where I stand
I stand strong when I take my stance
I love music and love to dance
Virgos are the best at romance

I am Virgo
Most compatible
Most adaptable
Comparable to none

One Hand
I played with our saying, "One hand can't clap." I think I went outside of this popular adage and expressed some hurt that I have been managing. This is what poetry is for - to share these concerns creatively!

sinking
I sang the first line of this poem, the first line of the chorus from "The Sinking Ship" by Gypsy. It was for Promptober Day 11.

Exhaust
I think I had more fun creating the video than writing the poem.

Telephone
This poem was written for Promptober Day 21 and for our local Heroes and Foreparents Day. I acknowledge my mother, grandfathers, and other family members in this piece.

Fountain
I felt more confident making this video because I had good practice with video editing.

POEM for World Food Day 2024: Overload

Today is World Food Day and I am sharing this poem based on a prompt.

Promptober Day 16: OVERLOAD
Prompt compliments of Worcestershire LitFest & Fringe

𝑂𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑙𝑜𝑎𝑑

We all have
A right to food for a better life
And a better future
We should be
increasing food production
investing in agriculture
While showing appreciation for nature
But some have
An overload of everything
They need and more
Instead of sharing
They prefer to be miserly
And enhance their stores
While others
Suffer from hunger and thirst
And with climate change
It only gets worst
We do need
Access to healthy food
Remember the
“Milk, it does your body good?”
Commercials of long ago
We need
Safely produced food
That will keep our bodies strong
We don’t need
Food filled with too much preservatives
To make it last far too long
An overload
Of chemicals and harmful ingredients
That wreck our immune system and
Throw our hormones out of whack
We need
An overload of healthy choices
And for this, we need to overload our voices
And bring action from the farm to the table
Because everyone is still more than able
And we are smart with technology
That we can devise new farming methodologies
That can coexist with climate change
Because if there is one right I can give
It would be for people to eat healthy and live
An overload of love

Heartfelt
the race is not for the swift
but when God grants you a gift
be sure to use it wisely
and with his guidance
use it timely
because you should seek
to do better
you should work proudly
to honor your ancestors
because legacy is a true concept
remember our foreparents'
hard work and intellect
use that inspiration
to ensure that you leave the nation
in a better condition
that you met it in

New Album: NORI by Stefan - Stefan's Insights & Listeners' Views

I first met Stefan in April 2024 when I shared a blog post about him. Stefan has delivered a masterpiece with his thirteen-track album, NORI, which was released on August 16, 2024. I would say that this album is clean, comfortable, relatable, and evoked emotion to keep me listening!

Let's Hear Stefan's Perspective
I had a chat with Stefan and he shared the following about NORI.

What Inspired This Album?
NORI was created based on a story that I wrote that was inspired by the weird time after COVID-19 where I would go to the beach with my friends. Every week before the curfew, we would always go to the beach. That was a very happy time in my life - not because of COVID-19 stuff but just being around my friends and going to the beach every week. That’s a really happy time in my life and the story was created around that. I know I wanted to make a story with that because the beach was such a good vibe. That's why the project starts with us approaching the beach. We don't really go to the beach as much now and that's why the ending of the project - it’s just the beach by itself without any noise for a couple seconds. But that’s outside of the actual story, that’s just the inspiration behind the project. I just wanted to make something inspired by that time.

Was It Intentional for Some Song Titles to be in Lowercase?
I did this to bring more attention to NORI and XENO because those are tracks named after actual people in the story.

Who Did Your Visuals?
Theo Thomas has been the man behind the scenes.

What Do You Want to Say to Your Fans?
I want to say thanks even though when you say, ‘fans,’ it feels weird. The feedback has really been overwhelming and I am feeling the love wholeheartedly. Seeing that everyone has been sharing love for the project shows me that hard work pays off.

Tell Us About Team TYC
I feel that for the TYC team – it’s the happiest era of our lives in creating NORI and putting ourselves out there. Sometimes we would get together just to watch movies, play games, or crack jokes, and eventually, all of this interaction led to success. This team knew that they were talented but this is a bigger step to putting ourselves out there.

What's Your Favorite Track on NORI?
My favorite track is …i’m really not. I believe that …i’m really not is the perfect song to capture the whole album. It briefly goes through every single situation, every feeling, It basically gives you a top-to-bottom summary of the entire project in addition to a year-after perspective. It just lets you know how he’s feeling and the fact that he hasn't processed all of the emotions that he felt with NORI - the fact that it’s kind of surreal that she's actually gone. He’s on his own now and he's not the same. His friends are worried about him. He's clearly being distant as you can hear from the skits from the friends in the earlier half of the track. It's just perfect from top to bottom and captures the whole project emotionally – my favorite song.

Where is lido's kitchen?
lido's is not a real place, sadly, it is not a real place. Everybody wants it to be a real place. I want it to be a real place too. I picture it on the roadside by the beach because that's where it is actually located in a story, not too far down the road from the beach.

What's Next for NORI?
I plan to do an event called lido's kitchen later in 2024. More details to come soon.

What's Next for Stefan?
I may let this album breathe for a while. I'm not in a rush to drop another album but I will be sharing more music later in the year. I have a lot of work tucked away. I may focus on a few more EPs. I want to build the brand and get more music out there.

Would You Want to Perform for the 2025 Virgin Islands Festival?
I would love to perform but I would want a live set for the desired effect I have in mind. I want to give a powerful performance and give the people a good show.

Shout Out
Thank you to my parents, wider family, and friends for standing with me. Special shout out to TYC for their ongoing support. Thank you to Kyra of Kickin It for helping me to put myself out there!

Parting Words
The project was not aimed to be trap (music) or like Tola Boy Radio. Supporters can look forward to some visualizers that were completed and one more defining music video of the whole project. The feedback has been great and I am happy with it being the first ever project. I gave it 100% and when I make new music - I want that I have no regrets about it in the future. Keep looking out for what is coming from me. I feel it’s worth waiting for.

The Music
The tracks on NORI are:
  1. you good?: This conversation begins the album with Stefan’s friends asking him, “you good?” They seem concerned, although jokingly at times, about his wellbeing after a break-up. However, Stefan insists, "I good."
  2. i’m okay …: featuring Donwikk: In response to Track 1, Stefan sings in the hook: “You don’t have to ask me if I’m fine/ I’m okay … I been doing better, honestly there ain’t a day.” The instrumental, which has a classical feel in the first minute and 30 seconds, transitions with some blended pop infusion. It ends with a skit that introduces Track 3.
  3. NORI featuring Kendake: Track 3 introduces the protagonist. After mutually breaking up with his girlfriend, Stefan found a new love interest, NORI. It seems to be a casual encounter where Stefan introduces himself to her. The song breaks with a skit before Kendake adds her lyrical diversity. She chants, “long as your efforts ain’t juvenile, be honest, don’t be delusional.”
  4. nori’s theme: Track 4 gives us another insight through the conversation between Stefan and his friends about NORI. They chided him about pretending to be “okay,” but still encouraged him to invite her to the meeting spot. They even joke about him not being himself at the meet-up – not freestyling. They even talk about NORI’s old love interest, which we will meet in the upcoming tracks.
  5. lido’s kitchen featuring Jougo, TYC, Durnel Sanderson and Stello: This track has an all-star cast. It opens with an ad for “lido’s kitchen” by a dominating voice in the Virgin Islands, Jougo. The mood changes because the song is about “falling in love.” It's a more reggae vibe that you can sing along and dance to. We tend to look at restaurants as places for bringing people together and the song gives us the exact vibe - togetherness. The chorus repeats, "all I wanna do is fall in love with you."
  6. don’t rush featuring Alyssah: Track 5 has me wanting to hear more from Alyssah! This sexy track gives me a smooth R&B feel, reminiscent of the songs that we still sing today from the 90s and 2000s. At the 2-minute mark, the song transitions into a different instrumental and mood. Stefan has been trying to call NORI and she has not responded.
  7. been callin’: The energy change continued from Track 6 to this track This was the first song I heard from the album and may be my favorite. NORI seems to be having doubts about the relationship and her friends are intercepting Stefan’s calls. Stefan expresses doubts and reminisces on the earlier conversations with his friends who had encouraged him to slow down. NORI's friends lecture her about the way she has been treating Stefan.
  8. been dodgin’: In Track 8, NORI admits she’s been dodging Stefan. In the skit in between, NORI's friends encourage her to reach out to Stefan. However, Stefan responded by repeating, “I’ve been calling, you been dodgin'.” The song ends with NORI asking, “Will you wait for me?”
  9. waiting…: In response to Track 8, Stefan sings, “I don’t want to wait for ya” in the refrain. I love the old-school R&B feel of this song, the deep feelings that are expressed, and the vocal ranges.
  10. i love you featuring mic.ah & Durnel Sanderson: This track gives a more acoustic vibe at the start but transitions to a hip hop/pop flow with a telltale story backtracking on what Stefan sang in Track 9, "This don't make no sense, I ain't tryna fall in love, this **** makes no sense."
  11. XENO featuring Hancho Flippaz and Jefe Tunez: I would call this the angry song on the album with its ominous start of the instrutmental. It includes some serious banter between NORI's ex, XENO performed by Hancho Flippaz, BVI's 2021 Qua-Rap-Tine Battle winner, Stefan, and an instigator, Jefe Tunez. XENO starts his lyrics as if speaking to NORI about the early days of their relationship and throwing shots at Stefan. The instigator also pops in, and then XENO chants, "How you run tell your friends I toxic/ I ain't perfect this *** does take practice." Stefan chimes in, "Yeah that's my baby so we making plans/ help me out I don't really understand/ how she moved on and you still a fan, damn." The instigator adds, "And all ayo at the bottom of the barrel/ broke ***** thought that Chanel was a channel/ and your friends thirstier than a camel/ make one wrong move and I done this whole jam." Stefan retorts, "I know you intoxicated/ and you partly faded but meh boy/ you ain't got no pride/ keep my girl name out yuh mouth." The song ends with a taunt to shoot and we hear voices and a gunshot.
  12. lido’s kitchen pt. 2: This track starts with a touching voiceover of what appears to be NORI getting shot and the excitement, fear, suspense, and pain of everyone in the scene.
  13. …i’m really not: This pop style track brings a different mood to the album, It’s a bit more pop-py and the ad-libs mention a ‘funeral.” A voice calls out during this track, “I tell you you wasn’t ready for love….” The track runs for almost eight minutes with elements that bring the story to an exciting close.

Feedback from Friends and Other Creatives

Papi Woodyard, poet and host extraordinaire of Papi’s Poetry Corner, commented on the YouTube videos:
  • on I’m okay: “Love this vibe ...❣️❣️❣️”
  • on NORI – “Beautiful song ... sent to my wife.”
Akin Chinnery, musician and poet from USVI, said:
“It's at the 3:13 segue skit for NORI that I really catch the vibe and genius of this brother.🥰🙏🏿❣️ It's spiritual, yet sensual, totally celestial.🔥❣️ I love it😍🙌🏿❣️. He has a professional vision about his artistry that supersedes his age😃☝🏿❣️. I'm a fan officially from here on😁🙏🏿❣️. And I love the way he segue his skits🔥☝🏿.. Not even the adult emcees do that anymore for the most part🤷🏿‍♂️.”

William Douglas, a writer from Toronto said:
Stefan's album NORI is a melodic journey with vibes reminiscent of Drake, featuring good rhyme schemes and engaging conversational interactions. The track been dodgin' had me bouncing around, while waiting... stands out with its relatable lyrics, excellent flow, and a great chorus. I loved how the album wrapped up with the soothing sound of waves, adding a perfect ending touch.

Dr. Dierdra Wheatley, my friend and HR colleague (I have mentioned her several times in this blog), said:
I like the artist's voice - it's smooth and kinda buttery. I like the story telling aspect of the album because it carried me through a journey that a lot of us can relate to in one way or the other. I like those aspects. I liked the beats as well - they were 'feelable.'

Khadija Walters, HR colleague, creative and owner of Khad's World, shared:
I felt like I was listening to his story. The album was well put together, every song flowed one after the other in chronological harmony. I also loved that the music felt timeless; nowadays we're so bombarded with modern twists on music but this album brought such a nostalgic vibe, taking you back in the day. The album is truly a work of art and I expect it will hit the global market.

Anthony of 3AL Productions said his favorite songs are lido's kitchen, been dodgin and XENO.

Anjanique from AMC Edits said she loves all the songs, but her favorites are i love you, waiting..., NORI and XENO.

If you have not listened to this album yet, please check Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube. Stefan is superbly talented and I do look forward to hearing more amazing music from him in the future. I quote from Stefan's hit song, GOING PRO featuring Jefe Tunez:

"Cold world that we living in
Sometimes I even consider giving in
I know that I'm better than
everybody they bringing in for shows
but you know how it goes when you're chosen
I know I've been on your radar
People be faking, they ain't really who they say they are
Don't think I'd make it far
The thing is I know
soon they going to recognize me wherever I go
How he so cold with it?
And he so different maybe cuz he put his soul in it
He dropping hits after hits, going pro
He on a roll"

I am confident that Stefan will be recognized for his talents!

Friends... Or Not?

I have been toggling with the word, 'friend,' over the past weeks. I have had people question my 'friendship,' and I, in turn, have done the same. I've also seen a few posts on social media about 'friendship.'

I checked the Oxford online dictionary and here is the definition:
"a person with whom one has a bond of mutual affection, typically one exclusive of sexual or family relations."

Did we let music define what a friend is?
I love music, so I went to look for songs about friendship:

"That's What Friends Are For"
Dionne Warwick Feat. Elton John, Gladys Knight and Stevie Wonder.
“Keep smilin', keep shinin'
Knowin' you can always count on me for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forevermore
That's what friends are for”

"True Friend (Buss A Shot)"
Demarco
"Me haffi big up all me friend dem
Me friend dem ever there
Me get a one food, yeah, the food haffi share
Me tell dem say we a go get rich fi this year
Weh dem did deh when we a bounce inna one pair"

Did Biz Markie help to blur the line between friendships between men and women in "Just a Friend?"
“But when I sprung the question, she acted kind of strange
Then when I asked, "Do ya have a man?", she tried to pretend
She said: "No, I don't, I only have a friend"

Or did Kelly Price muddy the waters with "Friend of Mine?"?
"She was a friend of mine (Yeah-yeah)
She left with my man (Why, why, why?)
She lied (Yeah-yeah), cheated (Oh, lord), took all I had (She was, yeah)
She was a friend of mine (Ooh, ooh-ooh)
She used what she knew (I don't know why)
She lied (Yeah), cheated (Ooh-oh), and left me confused"

Randy Newman probably sang it best in the Toy Story hit song, "You've got a friend in me":
You've got a friend in me
You've got troubles, and I've got 'em, too
There isn't anything I wouldn't do for you
We stick together and we see it through
'Cause you've got a friend in me
You've got a friend in me"

Who are my friends?
Seriously, I really started to question who my friends were. I know lots of people with common passions, hobbies, lifestyles, or family life. I also have people that I check on regularly - just to see if they are okay. I also have those who check on me. But are we friends?

Are your friends your friends?
Choose a close person to you, not a lover or family member, and answer these questions.
  • What do you have in common with this person?
  • What was the reason for your last phone call or message to this person?
  • Do you ask this person for advice?
  • Has this person tried to help you in any way in the past six months?
  • If you were gravely ill, would you tell this person?
  • Are you upset when this person does not agree with your point of view?
Switch it around. Change the perspective. How have the answers changed? How would this person answer these questions about you?

Depending on how you answer, you may be an acquaintance: “a person one knows slightly, but who is not a close friend.”

I guess that would cover buddies on Facebook, fellow alumni, church folk, teammates, coworkers, etc.

As stated earlier, this post was sparked by recent interactions. I'm not the best 'friend.' I'm a loner whose childhood friends were her radio and books. I'm a problem solver who loves challenges. I've had no choice but to figure out things on my own. Maybe, I'm not the best at setting clear expectations. I'll improve.

Cherish Your Friends
These are my parting thoughts:
  • Cherish the people who care for you.
  • Connect with people who make you comfortable while holding you accountable.
  • Don't assume that a nice person is your friend.
  • Set boundaries.
  • Be respectful of people's time and boundaries.
  • Back off if your energy is not being reciprocated.
  • Consider figuring things out on your own.
  • Invest in what grows you.

My July 2024 Poetic Journey and a Poem

July has been a great month for sharing my poetry! I continue to be thankful to those who share my work and encourage me.

Here is a recap of my activities:

I continue to say that I want my work to inspire the world. I am grateful for your feedback and encourage you to comment.

Here's a poem from my book, "Be Inspired: Poems by Linette Rabsatt":

The Nurturer
seeing him is a richness
of fulfillment,
I cannot understand the depths
of this love,
completion is only secondary
to the achievement
of being nurtured
inspired
and commended by
one who distinctly
resides in loving peace
with himself
his surroundings and
his being,
acceptance of his philosophy
is a mere decision
delighted and uplifted by
the assets of his heart and
loving spirit.

Happy Father's Day 2024

I wrote this poem in 2008 and shared it with the Island Sun Newspaper for Father's Day. I enjoy writing for celebrations because we should honor our family members and community with our talents. I created the graphic very simply. I didn't want too much prettiness or flowers. I didn't want it to resemble the typical Father's Day images.

On Facebook, there's always some controversy about fathers and their role. I don't indulge in those topics. I am appreciative of my family and the role they played in shaping me. I can only encourage young and new parents to do their best for their children. If the romance has dwindled and you can't get along, find a common ground to take care of your child. That advice was for both mom and dad.

As parents, we nurture our children physically, mentally, and emotionally. Don't let a spouse or significant other, your job, or friends distract you from your family. Invest in what grows you.

Poetry is Alive: My May 2024 Journey

May 2024 has been exciting for me as a poet. I shared my work in online readings, in magazines, and during a live poetry competition. I feel energized to share my work and to encourage other writers to do the same.

However, I also heard several persons say that they felt burned out I remind you of the following:
  • A job should not define you. You are more than a position.
  • Invest your spare time in you. Learn something, write something, grow something, or make something.
  • Think carefully about work-life balance. Work hard, shine, meet, and beat the timelines, but take care of yourself.
  • Rest, pray, sing, laugh, and dance.
I also want to encourage you to invest in yourself. I have worked hard to share my work. I look for journals, competitions, online open mics, and magazines. I want to inspire the world with my work; I have to champion that effort. Please invest in what grows you!

Check out my various participations this May:
Also, as I think about my statement about a job not defining you, I am sharing something fresh from my archives

a new definition

I looked at myself and said, no way
my definition has gone astray
what is my purpose? what is my vision?
how am I making correct decisions
if I don't have a clear definition?

I said if my goal was to look like BET
then there's no future in that for me
how can I define myself by these TV standards
and make my life another sad played-out ballad

is it a man that I need to define me
to fight another sister recklessly?
girl, you can have that brother
my definition is for me to be a better mother

material things? they've come and gone
I focus on my needs - the priority, #1
this personal definition is not of my pocket
it's my soul, my passion, the love I give and get

my education - yea that helps me plot my vision
raise my awareness and keep me in unison
still, a degree does not define me fully
but has opened my eyes to Mother Earth around me

so where does my definition lie?
a tiny taste of humble pie
brings me to realize that life
though tough and filed with rife
makes my definition complete

the love that has been given
and the love that I have given
makes me complete and real
my definition

My National Poetry Month Experience and a Poem

I have not written on my blog since April 2, 2024. It's not that I wasn't writing or wanting to share. April was National Poetry Month in the USA, and I celebrated it by participating in a daily writing challenge, online readings, and one workshop. Thank you to Angel Kim-Mack for sharing the challenges in Papi's Poetry Corner.

Dr. Michael Anthony Ingram of Quintessential Listening: Poetry Online Radio and YouTube interviewed me on May 2, 2024. It was the first time anyone ever picked my brain so deeply about my writing. I look forward to hearing the edited version that Dr. Ingram will share soon. I am truly grateful for this opportunity.

Online interviews and poetry readings have helped me with delivery and confidence. I feel that I have improved my intonation and pace. More exposure provides avenues for development and keeps you open to suggestions.

I always encourage investment in our talents. Continuously seek avenues to share your work by connecting with our persons in your field. Ensure that your name is on your work before you share. Most importantly, get your work out there!

Here is one of the poems that I wrote for challenge. The image for this post is the picture I colored.

Day 29 Prompt: Write a poem from the perspective of a forgotten photograph. What memories does it hold or bring back? What feelings did it make you feel? Tap into the nostalgia of it.

Having Heart
I remember when we tried to show
that we had heart
our own people stood with us
while silently tearing us apart
the mission was to deliver a simple
kind and generous gesture
nothing extravagant or bourgeois
but yes - we did take a picture
not to boast that we did something
that was oh so great
but to remind people that not
everyone has a food-filled plate
it seems that no matter what
you try to do in this life
somehow people find the way
to make confusion and strife
but what I most remember
about that day
was not what anyone had
to express or even say
it was the joy of coloring a
plain bunny rabbit
taking me back to a time
when being creative was
a pastime and not a habit
so that’s why I will continue
to invest in my poetry
and not waste time with people’s
bad attitudes and anarchy
I’m going to continue sharing
love straight from my heart
hoping that one day my love
will also touch your heart

Meet Stefan - Talented Musician from The Virgin Islands

My son first introduced me to Stefan's music. I was intrigued by his song, "Going Pro," which featured Jefe Tunez.

The hook of "Going Pro" is:
"Cold world that we living in
Sometimes I even consider giving in
I know that I'm better than
everybody they bringing in for shows
but you know how it goes when you're chosen
I know I've been on your radar
People be faking, they ain't really who they say they are
Don't think I'd make it far
The thing is I know
soon they going to recognize me wherever I go."

Stefan is a multi-talented artist from The Virgin Islands (BVI) who has been creating music for the last seven years. I was able to chat with this singer and rapper on March 30, 2024, to learn more about his music.

Genre
Stefan classifies his genre as "worldwide" because he does not narrow himself to one specific genre.

Who Writes Your Music?
Stefan writes all his music. He shared that he started writing songs in high school using beats he found on YouTube. He said he was inspired by J Cole, a mainstream rapper who wrote his lyrics in a book. Stefan followed suit and also began penning his raps in a book.

Who Produces Your Music?
He shared that he was tired of buying beats, so he started creating them. He continued to refine this skill and has become more comfortable with his production abilities.

What Inspires You to Write?
Stefan shared that he was more into the arts, specifically drawing, then his parents bought him a Mac, and he started honing his Photoshop skills. He noticed the GarageBand app and began to experiment with creating songs.

Early Journey
In the beginning, Stefan started sharing his music on SoundCloud, with the support of his close friends. At first, he did not tell his parents he was uploading music. Once they knew, they encouraged him and helped to fund his dream. After five years of posting on SoundCloud, his girlfriend motivated him to upload his music on revenue platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

What Has Been Your Biggest Musical Accomplishment?
Stefan said his hugest musical accomplishment five years ago would have been shout-outs from fellow Virgin Islanders. Today, he considers his consistency over the past seven years to be his greatest achievement. He is proud that people across the world play his music.

Who Do You Listen to?
Stefan is pursuing studies in Arizona, so he is exposed to different styles of music. He is inspired by J Cole, Kanye West, and some underground artists. He shared that tobi lou is one of his influences because his music is about having fun.

Would You Collaborate on a Soca or Reggae Song?
Stefan said he would be willing to collaborate on either genre, but it would have to feel good. He said he would give it his all.

Who Would You Like to Collaborate With?
Stefan would like to collaborate with Rock City, considered the most influential musicians in the entire Virgin Islands. He described an opportunity such as this as "legendary."

Favorite of All Your Songs
Stefan said that his favorite song has not been released yet. However, his published favorite is “Out of Control,” which was released in early 2024. He considers it to be a versatile pop/disco song that was well-received.

Advice for Persons Who Want to Get into Music
Stefan had several pieces of advice to share:
  • "Practice consistency."
  • "You can’t be afraid to invest in your talent."
  • "You have to put in the time."
  • "Figure out how you can do what you love, but do it differently because if everyone is doing the same, no one really stands out."
He also shared that his parents gave him the tools, but he invested in the software. He added that while he would not share his first tracks, he has seen progress and is happy with his journey. He said, "Investment in your music will pay off eventually, but not with money right away." He added that he has had some setbacks with projects getting pushed back, which can be unmotivating. However, he encouraged artists to keep their heads up.

Do You Have Anything Else to Share with Readers?
Stefan shared that he was an artist from Tortola who has been creating music for over seven years. He has loved music his whole life and loves to express himself through various art forms. Music happens to be his favorite because it evokes emotions.

He also stated that he appreciates his circle of family and friends for their ongoing support. Stefan gave a special shout-out to "the boys" because they visited him every Saturday. He said, "I wouldn't be Stefan without them." They love music and helped to push him and build his confidence.

New Music
Stefan was excited to share that he has new music coming soon! While he was not ready to share any details of the upcoming tracks, I could sense the excitement in his voice. He said the new projects are "definitely something to look out for.”

I am looking forward to hearing more from Stefan. Subscribe to his social media pages for the release date of his new album.

POEM: Time to Act

https://youtu.be/NjNEPkMy490
TIME TO ACT

It's like everything is in vain!
So WE complain,
and yet when it's time to stand up,
we sit down and shut up.
Time for action was said
but action time – everyone gone dead.
I said, “Time for action”.
Make inspiration be your reaction.
Time to act,
and make progress a recorded fact.
Procrastination is what keeps us back
and then we wonder why we lack
CONFIDENCE.
But I think it is common sense
because we have the power.
So let your actions shower,
and enlighten and revitalize the world.
Speak positively to the boys and girls
Because love in life is not a fallacy,
WE have to make progression our reality!

POEM: Have You Heard?

Have you heard?
They're culling the herd!
I bet you didn't understand!
because you probably
need to reduce your hoard
of lies, of coal, or of despise,
because it's so hard out here,
but yet you have to dare to survive,
and learn to thrive
in this unnatural disaster called life ...
And no - your hoard
should not be filled with knives
to cull the herd of those who have not heard
what I've been trying to say
or who have forgotten
that we need to steadfastly pray
and not overtly prey on the fallen
or attack the downtrodden,
because ill-gotten merchandise
isn't worth the price
of your freedom.
Instead, hold your heartbeat close
and take smaller doses
of the love medicine,
because I think it's promising
when someone realizes that the herd
is the community
and culling means
there would be less of you and me.
So don't hoard your heart,
and don't hoard your love.
Keep the herd close
and focus on what
what you've heard
in my play on words.
