POEM: My Peace

My piece is my peace
which never ceases
but instead releases
my love
my heart
and my soul
because as I go for the gold
I will stand strong and bold
and while I was told
that I was not good enough
I am tough
and I've made it through the rough
spots that came
that tried to out my flame
but in this game
I never stop
I never doubt
because I am on a route
that will take me far
and despite the scars
I'm gonna rise above the bar
and reach the pinnacle
so don't be cynical
cause this woman's peace
will never cease
and I will
persevere
